What are Unlocked Phones ?
By:TheAdmin
A cellphone handset is like a body without a brain. It can’t make calls unless it has a thumbnail-sized chip called a SIM card installed. The SIM card identifies an individual phone on a cellular network so that calls can be routed to it as the handset is carried from place to place, so the owner’s account can be billed for air time and long-distance fees, and so on.
It’s a common frustration: You want or need a new cell phone, but to get one inexpensively from your service provider, you have to sign a new two-year service agreement. Or perhaps you love your current phone but found that you could no longer use it with a new service agreement under a different provider. Such is life for the owners of locked phones.
