Unlocking Phones is Easy

Some people are still confused about the meaning of unlocking phones and how to do it. The first thing to know about lock and unlock is to understand that some mobile phones are sold in bundling price. It means that the phones are sold bundled with the service of the network providers that have had kind of agreement with the company who produce the phones. For example, we can see the price of new iPhone 3Gs in US from AT&T which is so cheap, $199, but some people do not know that it is a bundling price which is included the service contract of using AT&T network provider for one year.
Those contract and locking system of the cell phone means that the bundling phone can not be used using other networks provider service (using different SIM card), it will cause a problem when you want to sell the phone to other people from different countries or when you move to another countries that do not get signal coverage from your service provider of your locked phone. Unlocking phones becomes the only solution, so that the phone will be able to accept other SIM cards to receive other cellular service providers. There are many people and phone shops that have unlocking phones service for the people who need it.
There are many ways or methods to help unlocking phones. Modifying the phone’s firmware is the most choice that have been used to unlock many locked phones. There are some softwares which are specialized to unlock particular phones. If people want to unlock their iPhone, they need to get specific software which has been designed to unlock iPhone. And there are many other softwares which are purposed to unlock many different types of phones. The other methods is to unlock via code by entering certain code to the locked phones, unlock via mail, unlock during activation, and spoof SIM data.
What you need to concern more about unlocking phones is about the legality of the act or how to do it. Some countries have policy that this act is an illegal act if unlocking phones process involves changing IMEI number of the cell phones. It will be also illegal when there is a previous agreement between the user and the service provider that the phone is still belong to the cellular service provider and the user is not allowed to change anything inside the phone. So you should check the legal policy on your country before you do.
